This opportunity entails assisting assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering related tasks that may reflect elements of a standard post‑secondary engineering curriculum. The Rocky Hill, Connecticut office is seeking Intern Engineers for Summer 2026 in the following area:
Track Design. Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.

• Assist engineering teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assist engineers with research, development and design of projects.
• Assist engineers with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, plus current enrollment in an accredited post‑secondary engineering program.

• Understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Acceptance and application of direction from peers and supervisors.
• Understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures and requirements.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
• Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents.

• Completion of 2 years of a post‑secondary civil engineering program.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.
• Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure.

Location:

Rocky Hill, CT (Hartford). Approximate pay range: $23.18 – $34.76 USD. Nationwide approximate pay range: $21.07 – $39.50 USD. Actual compensation is based on qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
