AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Inspector, Highway & Bridge to perform construction engineering and inspections on a variety of construction projects including railroads, bridges and highways in Connecticut.

• Perform assignments in construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.
• Work with minimal direction, using experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals under general supervision of the Construction Project Manager.
• Set own project deadlines.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
• Track quality assurance progress.
• Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

• High school diploma/GED and 10 years of related experience performing inspections on bridge and/or roadway construction projects or equivalence.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License; must pass Motor Vehicle Records review.

• NICET certification Level 3 (or ability to obtain required level).
• Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant field.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overnight work.
• Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT).
