Weston & Sampson is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager with 10-15 years of experience in hydraulics and drainage design to work with our Rocky Hill, CT team.
What You’ll Do- Mentor Junior Engineers and/or assist Team leaders with engineering work.
- Responsible for preparing studies, design plans, specifications and other contract documents for public bidding and to meet client deliverables.
- Responsible for leading a variety of hydraulics & drainage related projects from a technical and financial perspective and overseeing the work of support staff.
- Responsible for managing projects and communication with clients, review and permitting agencies, and other disciplines.
- Responsible for scope and fee preparation for projects and proposals.
- Peer review services of designs prepared by others.
- Work will include supporting our other disciplines as well as our external client base.
- Responsible for team’s workload planning, budget management, proposal preparation and client interactions.
- BS in Civil Engineering is required.
- MS in Civil Engineering is a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer Registration in CT required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer Registration in other states and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification is a plus.
- Water Resources Engineering experience with storm drainage, stream restoration, bridge/culvert replacement, flood control and dams.
- Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic and storm drainage modeling softwares.
- Experience with MS4, CTDEEP, ACOE and FEMA permitting is a plus.
- Experience with low impact development, resiliency, and sustainability is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, project management and time management skills are essential.
- Involvement with professional organizations is a plus.
Salary- $145,000 - $155,000 depending on experience
