Best Logic Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a leading Building Automation and HVAC Controls contractor seeking a Building Automation Controls Programmer / Engineer
. This role is responsible for programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, and industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience with HVAC controls, DDC systems, system integration, and customer interaction while delivering high-quality automation solutions.

• Program and configure Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC).
• Develop graphics, alarms, trends, schedules, and control sequences.
• Commission new control systems and verify proper operation.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication issues.
• Integrate HVAC equipment including air handlers, chillers, boilers, VAVs, pumps, cooling towers, and rooftop units.
• Perform point-to-point checkout and startup activities.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, technicians, and customers.
• Optimize building performance for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Provide customer training and technical support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and programming backups.
• Travel to customer sites throughout Connecticut as required.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience programming Building Automation or DDC systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control strategies.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license.
