The Fiscal/Administrative Officer manages financial and asset systems for the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Bureau of Finance and Administration in Rocky Hill. The role oversees Core-CT Financials and Asset Management modules, processes annual physical inventories, handles acquisition and disposition of equipment, and prepares GAAP reporting and Federal Transit Authority audits. The position involves supervising lower-level staff, communicating with internal and external customers, and maintaining specialized equipment inventory listings.
- Six years of experience in fiscal/administrative functions including accounting, budgeting, or grant administration
- Two years at paraprofessional level or above in accounting, budgeting, purchasing, or related fiscal administration
- Experience with Core-CT and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Experience with Asset Management, Accounts Payable, or Procurement systems preferred
- Knowledge of public administration principles, governmental accounting, and budget management
