Position Summary: Women’s Health Connecticut (WHC) is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Program Manager to oversee our core technology platforms and vendor relationships across the organization. This hybrid role combines strong technical understanding with program and vendor management responsibilities, ensuring system stability, security, and performance across WHC’s corporate and clinical divisions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, and endpoint technologies, along with the ability to manage multiple vendors and projects effectively.
This individual will act as the bridge between strategic IT planning and day-to-day operational execution — ensuring that outsourced work meets WHC’s standards for performance, reliability, and compliance.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Program and Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary escalation point for WHC’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other IT vendors.
- Oversee vendor deliverables, project milestones, and service-level performance.
- Validate technical work for accuracy and adherence to WHC policies and standards.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting for IT initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-vendor collaboration for complex issues and implementations.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and Entra .
- Partner with the MSP to maintain secure, compliant, and optimized M365 operations.
- Support license management, user provisioning, and security policy enforcement.
- Provide input and oversight for Azure and hybrid infrastructure initiatives.
- Oversee WHC’s Ring Central platform for voice and collaboration services.
- Partner with the telephony vendor to ensure reliable performance, uptime, and configuration consistency.
- Monitor vendor compliance with established call-flow standards, provisioning processes, and support response times.
- Validate vendor-managed changes, integrations, and user deployments to ensure they meet WHC operational and security expectations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and the MSP on any escalated service or implementation needs.
- Maintain oversight of corporate endpoint and device management practices.
- Work with the MSP to ensure workstations, laptops, and other hardware are configured, updated, and secure.
- Ensure patching, software deployment, and device replacement processes align with WHC standards.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and support lifecycle management.
- Support WHC’s compliance with HIPAA, data protection, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in system audits, risk assessments, and contingency planning.
- Build strong relationships across WHC divisions to ensure consistent IT service delivery.
- Communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems, projects, and operating procedures.
Skills/qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or related technical roles.
- 2–3 years of program or vendor management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra , Teams, and general collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with Ring Central or comparable cloud telephony systems.
Understanding of networking, endpoint security, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals. - Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience strongly considered.
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (MS-100, MD-102, Network+, or equivalent).
