Overview
The State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is currently accepting applications for an Information Technology Analyst 1 to join our Agency Success team in service to the Connecticut Veteran's Affairs in Rocky Hill, CT.
Responsibilities- Maintain, secure, and support core systems and existing applications critical to daily operations.
- Develop, customize, and maintain applications that improve operational efficiency and constituent services.
- Support modernization efforts, including implementing cloud‑based tools, low‑code platforms, and improved digital workflows.
- Support websites, portals, mobile applications, and digital submission systems that enable constituent access and engagement.
- Ensure accessibility, reliability, and consistency of online information and digital services.
- Assist with project implementations, platform migrations, system enhancements, and new technology rollouts.
- Troubleshoot application issues and collaborate with technical teams to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Maintain documentation, system configurations, and support procedures.
- May be assigned on‑call duties and must be able to respond to emergency or priority service needs during non‑business hours.
- Five (5) years of experience in information technology (IT) operations support, programming, or another IT related support area.
- Two (2) years of that experience must be performing basic technical support work in such areas as: help desk functions; installing and maintaining basic computer hardware and software; data communications; microcomputer support; production control or programming; performing any closely related basic technical support function.
- For state employees, basic technical support work is interpreted at the level of Information Technology Technician.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting on‑premises and cloud applications.
- Experience developing solutions with Power Platform tools and SharePoint.
- Experience documenting or communicating technical information to users and technical teams.
- Experience with modernization, workflow automation or cloud‑technology projects.
Full time, 35 hours per week. Monday through Friday schedule. First shift. Hybrid role – combination of in‑office and telework.
