Johnson Controls is hiring a HVAC Selling Sales Manager who will apply account management strategies to facilitate long-term customer relationships with targeted customers. Daily responsibilities include planning, forecasting, managing and delivering consistent long‑term profitable branch growth and developing/leading the sales team to be the premier supplier of equipment across all building types.
Other responsibilities include: actualizing account management strategies, sales planning, sales pipeline management, salesperson development/training, sales activity, and establishing and maintaining long‑term customer relationships with key owners, architects, consulting engineers, and contractors to influence opportunities and maintain account lists.
How you will do it- Manage account assignments to the Equipment sales team to ensure secure sales performance to plan.
- Responsible for top‑line growth of revenue and meeting growth objectives around gross margin and EBIT, and trade working capital.
- Provide accurate and timely forecasting of sales and allocation of sales support resources.
- Increase market penetration by securing new customers and expanding scope of existing customers with owners, architectural engineers, mechanical consultants, and contractor accounts; develop account plans with key/target accounts; demonstrate understanding of market channels and their relation to branch business.
- Facilitate training and ensure support resources are in place to develop sales individuals capable of selling the full scope of bundled offerings available.
- Develop strategies for the local sales team consistent with mission and objectives.
- Understand local market environment including competition, purchasing and business trends; integrate construction sales team activity within geographic staff.
- Evaluate local performance in customer satisfaction and provide leadership for performance enhancement and proactive resolution of issues.
- Participate as management team representative on strategically important key accounts and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
Required
- 5+ years of industry experience in HVAC sales/account management and/or HVAC field operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for productivity or development of others.
- Available for frequent travel.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
$109,000 – $170,000 (based on education, experience, skills, and market data). The role offers a competitive bonus plan that considers individual, group, and corporate performance. The position includes a competitive benefits package.
