Adhesive Laboratory Technician

Support product development by preparing, formulating, and testing adhesive samples in a laboratory environment. Perform chemical, physical, and mechanical testing according to established procedures and guidelines. Accurately record laboratory data, observations, and test results using laboratory information systems and other documentation tools. Collaborate with chemists, scientists, and technical staff to support research and development activities while meeting project timelines. Maintain laboratory equipment through routine calibration and proper operation to ensure reliable testing results.

Follow all laboratory safety requirements, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and established site safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment by supporting 5S and other continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare technical reports and communicate testing outcomes to support internal and external project needs.

Prepare and test adhesive formulations according to established procedures, independently or in collaboration with technical staff. Perform chemical, physical, and mechanical testing on laboratory samples. Accurately document test data, observations, and experimental results in laboratory information systems. Read and follow work instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) related to sample preparation, formulation, and testing. Apply basic problem-solving skills to address testing challenges and support project deadlines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Wear and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all laboratory safety requirements. Operate curing and dispensing equipment to support formulation and testing activities. Perform routine calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure reliable and accurate results. Utilize computer systems to complete documentation and prepare internal and external test reports. Support product development activities through collaboration with chemists, scientists, and technical personnel.
