Low Voltage Security and Fire Technician

Insight Global is seeking a Connecticut‑licensed Low Voltage Security & Fire Technician for a well‑established commercial security integration firm to support installation, service, and troubleshooting of access control, CCTV, and low‑voltage communication systems across commercial, healthcare, and government facilities. This is a field‑based role with steady work, strong growth opportunities, and exposure to leading security technologies.

• Install, service, and troubleshoot access control systems, CCTV solutions, and low‑voltage communication systems across commercial sites.
• Configure, test, and maintain security hardware including panels, controllers, readers, cameras, servers, and networked devices.
• Diagnose system issues and perform repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
• Complete cabling work including pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing Cat5/6, coax, and fiber.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, prints, and technical documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, complete service reports, and communicate findings to project managers and customers.
• Participate in a monthly on‑call rotation for service support.
• Travel throughout Connecticut with occasional assignments in Western Massachusetts.

• 3+ years field experience in commercial low‑voltage/security systems.
• Must hold a valid CT L5, L6, C5, or C6 license (C‑series preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with access control and video systems such as:
  Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Lenel, American Dynamics, ExacQ, or Mercury.
• Basic networking/computer proficiency (IP addressing, Windows familiarity).
• Comfortable working independently in the field and interacting directly with customers.
• Willing to work on‑call once per month.

• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, government).
