HVAC Truck Chiller Journeymen Mechanic; union

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items.
• Act as a trusted advisor to provide solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL‑CIO.
• Dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket services.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience with residential and/or ducted products, air‑cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHUs or rooftop ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and screw chillers system components.
• Travel may be required 10‑20% to support branch customers.
• Require passing a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.

• Capable to write and communicate to customers the problem, cause, and corrective actions.

• Self‑starter with a passion for learning and applying skills on the job.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• Hold a Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.

• Pay range: $52.48 per hour, determined by the collective bargaining agreement/rate sheet.
• Position is a bargaining unit position.
