Rocky Hill, CT | $90,000 to $95,000 per year
This company is hiring an experienced Automation Controls Technician to support Building Automation System (BAS) installations. The role involves mounting control components, installing low voltage wiring, performing terminations, conducting system start ups, and troubleshooting systems. The ideal candidate has hands on BAS installation experience, holds a CT E2 or L6 license, and is committed to delivering high quality installations and service.
Schedule:
Full time, field based role with occasional service calls as needed.
Compensation: $90,000 to $95,000 per year.
What You'll DoIn this role, you will mount and install control components, including sensors, thermostats and controllers, as part of BAS installations, along with installing conduit and low voltage wiring and performing terminations in accordance with project specifications. You will conduct system start ups, verify proper functioning and calibration of all components, and perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues, including diagnosing and repairing BAS components, wiring and controls and responding to service calls as needed.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate installations, communicate with clients on project progress, and ensure all work complies with local codes and electrical regulations and safety protocols.
- Valid CT E2 or L6 license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and maintaining Building Automation Systems
- Experience with low voltage wiring, system start up and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and system specifications
- Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls and electrical systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Additional certifications in building automation or electrical systems
- Experience working independently as well as part of a team on installation projects
