About the Job
SJ Mobilita is seeking an experienced Building Controls Service Technician to support commercial facilities throughout Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and HVAC controls
, along with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
This role will focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing building control systems while supporting customers and ensuring reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair BAS/DDC systems
. - Perform preventive maintenance on building automation and HVAC control systems.
- Calibrate controllers, sensors, actuators, and other field devices.
- Troubleshoot BAS communication networks and control system issues
. - Commission system upgrades, modifications, and expansions.
- Support system startups and verify proper operation.
- Provide customers with guidance and training on system operation.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Respond to emergency service calls when required.
- Work independently at customer sites while maintaining professional customer relationships.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with Building Automation or HVAC Controls systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
. - Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage service assignments.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations throughout Connecticut.
