This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Rocky Mount Community Development Services Agency (CDSA). Responsibilities include processing public and commercial insurance billing, reviewing and submitting claims through NCTracks, verifying Medicaid eligibility, and managing prior authorizations via the NCTracks Operations Portal. The role requires troubleshooting billing and authorization issues, communicating with providers to resolve claim discrepancies, and ensuring timely reimbursement. Additional duties involve assisting with supply inventory, fixed‑asset management, purchasing activities, maintaining accurate business records, and other related tasks as needed.
Responsibilities& Qualifications
• Process public and commercial insurance billing, including claims submission and follow‑up.
• Verify Medicaid eligibility and manage prior authorizations.
• Resolve billing and authorization issues and communicate with providers.
• Maintain accurate business records, inventory, and fixed‑asset documentation.
• Apply strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Explain and interpret policies, procedures, and billing information to clients, providers, customers, and staff.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support agency operational and financial goals.
- Demonstrated experience in public and commercial insurance billing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to navigate multiple electronic billing systems for claim processing and issue resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reviewing, examining, and preparing documents.
- Competence in compiling, organizing, and analyzing financial information and other data.
High school diploma or GED plus two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary and Recruitment RangeSalary: $39,244 – $68,679.Recruitment Range: $39,244 – $41,429.
