Afterschool Counselor

This is a full-time, on-site position for an After school Counselor, based in Rocky Mount, NC. The After school Counselor will be responsible for supervising and engaging with students in an after school program. Daily responsibilities include planning and leading educational, recreational, and creative activities, providing mentorship and guidance, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants. The role also requires collaboration with staff and maintaining communication with parents or guardians regarding students' progress and well-being.

• Valid Class C drivers license, no restrictions or pending charges
• Experience in child care, youth development, or education
• Skills in activity planning, organization, and time management
• Strong mentoring, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to create a safe and supportive environment for children and address their diverse needs
• Basic CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in education or child development are a plus
