Experienced Carpenter

Position Summary
The Experienced Carpenter performs skilled construction work across residential and light commercial projects while supporting field operations, small crew oversight, and project execution from estimate through completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete framing, siding, trim, doors, windows, decking, and finish work
* Manage smaller projects independently from estimate to completion
* Oversee small crews, ensuring quality, safety, and timelines are met
* Respond to job inquiries and assist with estimates as directed
* Support active job sites by filling labor or supervision gaps
* Track job progress, materials, and time using Buildertrend or similar tools
* Coordinate with Site Supervisors and Construction leadership
* Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and OIC quality expectations
Required
Skills & Qualifications
* 4+ years of carpentry experience in residential/general construction
* Strong skills in framing, siding, trim, and finish carpentry
* Ability to manage projects independently and lead small crews
* Solid understanding of construction site safety and practices
* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
* Valid NC driver's license and reliable transportation
* OSHA-10 certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Preferred Skills
* Experience with both new construction and renovation/rehab work
* Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar project management tools
* Experience using digital or AI tools for estimating, scheduling, or documentation
* NC contractor license or knowledge of NC residential building codes
* Ability to perform basic project estimating
