Overview

As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead complex aerospace projects from concept through completion, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery. You will leverage your advanced engineering expertise and project management skills to drive innovation, coordinate cross-functional teams, and meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work out of the Rocky Mount, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

New hires can expect to report 100% on-site for the first 90 days of employment.

In this role, you will impact the successful execution of advanced aerospace projects by managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and technical solutions that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program-specific performance within Honeywell Global Engineering Services and the Chief Engineering/Product Engineering organization. Responsibilities include supporting Momentum Factory Support, DMAIC and Supplier activities impacting the Honeywell Rocky Mount Location and sister divisions. You will collaborate with the Design Authority Team at South Bend for Phase 6 ECNs supporting ISC and lead the Engineering effort to release those ECNs and MRB authority.

You will partner with world-class engineers to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Manage MRB (Material Review Board) activity processed through the facility; MRB certification will be required.
  • Support Class II Design Authority for Phase 6 ECNs (Dwg changes in a production support environment); engineering assessment for execution, ECN generation, coordination with Engineering teams for resolution.
  • Drive execution of Engineering MRB through feasibility for dimension/feature departure analysis and mitigate risk in a timely manner with extended engineering teams.
  • Export Control documentation certification.
  • Drive engineering actions for supplier requests; feasibility, plan for execution with extended engineering teams.
  • Work closely with Operations & Quality to control, reduce repetitive MRB activity using root cause analysis and corrective action responses.
  • Work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Integrate with ISC effort events as well as agile projects to review proposed processing changes to ensure product integrity.
  • Schedule and Milestone development and management.
  • Customer interface and Vendor interface support for item resolution.
  • Estimation development and analysis.
  • Metric development and reporting.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering
