Mechanical Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Rocky Mount, North Carolina
.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, supporting key projects within the organization. They will apply engineering principles to create products and collaborate on repair development, process improvement, and technical documentation.

• Review and research repair development technical requirements, processes, procedures, and techniques.
• Review and research repair development regulatory requirements compliance, including materials, tools, equipment, and technical documentation.
• Participate in coordination of findings and proposed solutions for turnaround time reduction and first pass yield improvement.
• Participate in the integration of findings and approved solutions into current development, including the completion of technical publication change requests, temporary, and full revisions.
• Participate in the development and completion of overhaul repair instructions, repair processes, and procedures documentation.
• Develop and complete technical inspection instructions and technical equivalencies for materials, tools, and equipment used in overhaul repair activities.
• Provide oversight technical support to suppliers for overhaul repair activities.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
