We are seeking a skilled and driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in troubleshooting, process optimization, and standardization within our manufacturing operations. This position involves hands-on work in assessing processes, developing action plans for improvement, and supporting plant operations to drive sustained operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Onsite troubleshooting and process assessments. Collaborate with associates and support functions to develop action registers and address process deficiencies.
- Drive standardization in process, training, troubleshooting, and equipment configuration across the business unit.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and improvement of Standard Work practices in manufacturing processes. Focus on enhancing output and efficiency through lean daily management, 5-S activities, and other improvement initiatives.
- Support parts trials and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for trials, plant support activities, and improvement projects.
- Support plant operations by focusing on priorities and driving sustained operational improvements.
- Participate in the capital planning and execution process to support plant development and upgrades.
- Develop and coordinate technology teams and user groups for common issues. Organize meetings and action plans to address challenges.
- Provide technical support to plant staff, assisting in resolving technical issues and optimizing performance.
Experience and education requirements/preferences include:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. - Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. - Technology:
Familiarity with laser cutting technology, metallurgy, blueprint reading, GD&T (advanced), and project management. - Methodologies:
Experience with problem-solving techniques (8D, fishbone diagram), statistical orientation (SPC), and inspection techniques. - Preferred skills:
Strong planning and organization, process orientation, business cost accounting concepts, and capital cost justification.
