The Paramedic provides primary care and/or advanced life support, including medical evaluation, treatment and stabilization of the critically ill and injured with the goal of reducing morbidity.
ResponsibilitiesThe Paramedic supports existing health services; provides integrated health services in partnership with other health professionals; extends access to health services delivery in underserved and general populations, including primary care, public health, disease management, prevention and wellness, mental health, and dental health; and performs other duties as required.
Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements- High school graduate or GED.
- Current certification as a Paramedic with the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services.
- 2 years of Paramedic experience is required.
- Current BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be kept current.
- CPI certification is required within 1 year of hireand must be kept current.
- ASLS certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be kept current.
- NIHSS certification.
