Job Description:The Business Intelligence Analyst / Specialist is the face of a new BI function that Barnhill Contracting is building from the ground up. This role turns data from Spectrum, Workday, Procore, and other source systems into the reports, dashboards, automated data flows, and curated data sets that move the business forward — and identifies where manual processes can be replaced with data-driven automation that gives people back their time.
The ideal candidate pairs technical capability with genuine curiosity about the business, strong customer-service instincts, and the ability to partner across divisions.

The Specialist is an experienced practitioner who operates independently across the full lifecycle — requirements, data modeling, development, governance, and stakeholder enablement — and serves as a trusted partner to leadership and a force-multiplier for the BI Developer.
A typical day might include meeting with stakeholders to scope a reporting request, building or refining a dashboard, writing queries against a relational database, validating data accuracy before publishing, or partnering with the BI Developer on a data integration. This position is multi-faceted, with executive sponsorship and a leadership team ready to invest in the work.
