Location:
This position is available in Rocky Mount, NC. The exact worksite location will be selected based on business requirements and the candidate s relevant experience and qualifications. The hourly base range for this position is $18-$22/hr please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
Key Responsibilities
Working 1:1 with a mentor, you will apply your current skills and learn to:
- Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be a US Person
- Have graduated high school and be enrolled in the Computer-Integrated Machining program at Nash Community College.
- Have hands-on classroom experience in the operation of machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Have basic knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
- Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Have good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated & responsible
- Good communication skills
- Ability to set priorities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Competency in drawing print reviews
