We’re looking for a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support our fast-growing organization.
PositionSummary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate financial records and reports. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems, ensuring timely month-end close, reconciling accounts, and supporting overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations (bank, credit card, prepaid, accruals, etc.)
- Maintain general ledger integrity and accuracy
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports, variance analyses, and audit support
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with budget goals and financial strategy
- Help manage and maintain accounting systems and documentation
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
- Assist with special projects, audits, and ad hoc reporting requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience (multi-unit experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in the fitness, retail, or franchise industry is a plus
