Impactful Events & Marketing Intern

Prayers From Maria is built out of love and compassion for children who suffer, and those who have died, from deadly brain tumors. Our mission is to provide childhood cancer patients with the support they desperately need, by reversing the tragic lack of funding and fueling the most meaningful brain cancer research for kids.

We are seeking an energetic, responsible, and positive intern to join our organization! In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routine and activities. Traits include reliability, being a hard worker; having high expectations for yourself; and the ability to encourage staff, volunteers, and the community.

• Assist with event management and scheduling activities at Maria’s Field of Hope in Avon.
• Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents, etc. as needed.
• Office organization and management.
• The ability to lift heavy objects.
• Season-specific projects.

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree at a college or university preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business Administration or Hospitality).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent writing skills to assist with various marketing tasks.
• Ability to identify issues and find solutions in a timely manner.
• Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are required.
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
• Reliable form of transportation.
