Job Overview
Saint Luke’s Community Hospitals, a division of Saint Luke's South Hospital in Kansas, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for our Roeland Park location.
As an ED RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to perform ongoing assessments and provide direct patient care to a variety of acuity levels and conditions.
Shift Details:
Part Time Days
- Manage care within the established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state.
- Triage patients appropriately, prioritize needs, and display a caring and responsive attitude.
- Initiate care to stabilize patients and assist in managing life support needs by collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, demonstrating appropriate admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
- Collect detailed patient history and symptoms, including vital signs, and provide appropriate care in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.
- Report adverse treatments or medications in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- Prepare patient meals.
- Participate in QAPI activities, including accreditation preparation and survey processes, and maintain accreditation, state, and CMS standards.
- Registered Nurse (R.N.) in KS with at least 2 years of experience.
- Accepted by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Preference for prior Emergency Department RN experience.
- Patient-centered, self-driven, and motivated ED nurse committed to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
- Comfortable in high-pressure situations, managing time, highly organized, task-oriented, resourceful, and possessing strong communication skills.
- Compassionate and seeking an exciting opportunity to spend more time with patients in an emergency department setting.
