We are looking for a Global Key Account Manager - Specialty Coatings to join our international Core Solutions team. Given the frequent travel involved, we are open to candidates across European Union, ideally located in major cities with good airport access.

ROCKWOOL Core Solutions is a division of the international ROCKWOOL Group, a global leader in stone wool solutions. We develop high-performance, sustainable raw materials for a wide range of industrial applications, including friction, sealing, thermal management and advanced coating systems. Our ambition is to enable our customers’ innovation and growth by delivering technically differentiated solutions based on stone wool fibers, while actively expanding into new applications, markets and value chains.

We operate at the intersection of material science, sustainability and industrial innovation. In total, the division consists of 80 colleagues

What you will be doing:

We are seeking an experienced, commercially-driven Global Key Account Manager to lead and expand our presence in the coatings and specialty applications markets globally.

This role goes beyond traditional technical sales. You will act as a business developer, market shaper and strategic partner, identifying new growth opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships and driving the adoption of ROCKWOOL fibers across a broad range of coating technologies and specialty chemical applications.

You will operate in R&D-driven customer environments, working closely with formulation experts, innovation teams and decision-makers to shape new applications and long-term value propositions.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a strategic partner to customers across R&D, procurement and management

Grow and manage a portfolio of global and strategic accounts within coatings and specialty applications

Develop new business opportunities and applications in close collaboration with customers and R&DDrive market development and adoption of ROCKWOOL fiber solutions

Translate technical capabilities into clear, value-based customer propositions

Contribute to innovation, portfolio development and go-to-market strategies

Represent ROCKWOOL Core Solutions at international customer meetings and industry events

Monitor market trends and report on pipeline, performance and forecasts

What you bring:

Proven experience in B2B technical sales, business development, or key account management within specialty chemicals, coatings, or related industries

University degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering)
Strong understanding of formulation-driven markets and customer decision processes

Ability to operate comfortably at the interface of R&D, commercial teams and senior stakeholders

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership

Growth- and results-oriented approach, with the ability to spot and develop new opportunities

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus (e.g., Spanish)
Willingness and ability to travel internationally (approximately 35–40% of the time), primarily across Europe, Asia and North America
