We provide tax, accounting, payroll, audit, financial advisory, business valuation, technology, wealth management and trust services nationwide from our Central U.S. offices.
Position SummaryThe Staff Tax Accountant prepares tax returns, standard accounting work papers and statements, and other financial reports. The individual also prepares basic statistical and account analyses. Familiarity with tax concepts, practices and procedures is required, along with a degree of creativity and latitude. This position will be on the Closely Held Business team.

Requirements Required Experience and EducationBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with 0–3 years in a relevant position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare tax returns and conduct tax research.
- Compile, prepare, and maintain financial data and records in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare a variety of detailed accounting and statistical functions related to tax preparation.
- Prepare work papers that are organized, neat, cross‑referenced, and supported by conclusions.
- Compile raw data into a trial balance, including recapping cash receipts and disbursements.
- Use reference materials to research accounting issues.
- Maintain accurate time and expense records to ensure proper billing of clients.
- Comply with relevant continuing professional education requirements.
- Enhance the firm’s image by demonstrating executive presence, instilling confidence through manner, spoken and written word, and professional appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Offices are open 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during tax season and close at noon on Fridays outside of tax season.
