Sr Forecasting Analyst

Sr Forecasting Analyst – Mattel Sales Corp., Rogers, Arkansas – Pay Range: USD $69,000–$88,000 per year

• Own store in‑stock metrics by influencing end‑to‑end order process including order creation, daily order review, maintaining perfect POs, and optimizing fill rate.
• Own execution of Direct Import business out of Asia, partnering with Customer Service team in Hong Kong office.
• Consume execution – drive weekly shipping plan by item/channel to support POS plans, retailer in‑stock, and future order needs.
• Daily/weekly involvement with sales team, retail analysts/buying team for joint business planning related to in‑season execution for promotional planning and fulfillment, domestic and import order reviews, and chase/cancel with retailer.
• Provide PO order recommendations for current and future domestic and direct import orders.
• Liaison between customer service and supply planning/allocations teams to maximize PO fill rates.
• Actively lead and participate with Mattel sales team in CPFR forecasting meetings with Walmart; present findings and recommend actions for the season or year; manage follow‑ups.
• Attend internal consensus meetings to present and share current retail execution, provide key data findings to cross‑functional S&OP teams to reach month‑to‑month consensus forecast.
• Provide reporting as requested to support sales team/customer and other business needs.

• Strong analytical skills – coordinate diverse information, identify relevant data, recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills – effective across all organizational levels and functional areas; understand, assess, and present viewpoints of others.
• Sound business judgment – interpret issues and recommend actions to support group, division, and corporate goals.
• Process oriented – identify and address process improvements; share expertise with others.

• Proficient in MS Office, Excel power user.
• Direct replenishment experience planning in highly seasonal environment with long lead times.
• Experience analyzing large data sets, blending data from multiple sources, conducting analysis, and compiling actionable reports for decision making and strategic planning.
• At least 3+ years relevant experience in sales analysis or merchandise buying/planning.

• Experience in CPG or retail.
• Experience with PowerBI, Alteryx, Big Query, or other database programs.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross‑functional forecasting processes (JDA, SAP, Demantra, Anaplan, etc.).
• Experience with statistical forecasting technique, systems applications, and model building.
