Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Art Appreciation

Position Overview

North West Arkansas Community College (NWACC) invites applications for part‑time faculty positions in the Art Department, specifically teaching Art Appreciation courses. Assignments are term‑based (fall, spring, summer) and involve both in‑person and online instruction.

$765 per credit hour.

• Master's Degree in Art or Art History (required).
• Teaching experience at the community college or postsecondary level (preferred).
• Demonstrated teaching ability; instructional experience in a classroom setting.
• Experience using online learning management systems such as Canvas or similar.
• Experience with project‑based, service learning, or inquiry‑based instruction is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Moderate noise level.
• Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

• Frequently manipulate items with fingers, including keyboarding – sitting, standing, walking.
• Constantly hearing, repetitive motion, talking.
• Requires close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, or visual inspection at close range.
