This is a 12-month Faculty position at the Arkansas Environmental Training Academy. The primary function of this position is to teach in the Academy’s Water and Wastewater Divisions. This position reports directly to the Director of the Arkansas Environmental Training Academy or his designee.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Water and Wastewater courses on-campus, off-campus, and by alternative methods of delivery (Zoom/Internet, etc.).
  • Work with the AETA Water and Wastewater Program Coordinators to develop and/or revise AETA curriculums to keep current with changing technologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the AETA Water and Wastewater Program Coordinators to deliver training statewide.
  • Attend meetings, training, workshops, seminars, and conferences as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current Arkansas Class III Municipal Wastewater Operator’s License or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
  • Must hold a current Arkansas Advanced Industrial Wastewater Operator’s license or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
  • Must hold a current Arkansas Class III Water Treatment and Water Distribution Operator’s Licenses or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
  • Background check required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hold a current Arkansas Class IV Municipal Wastewater Operator’s License.
  • Hold a current Arkansas Class IV Water Treatment and Distribution Operator’s License.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science, or Chemistry.
  • Teaching experience with curriculum development and delivery.
