Project Surveyor Rogers, Arkansas
Garver, an ENR Top 500 engineering firm, seeks an engineering Project Surveyor in our Rogers, AR office for assistance on a variety of projects. Responsibilities will also involve processing field crew data, assistance with document reproduction for acquisitions, and quantity computations with guidance and supervision. This position will work in the office creating vertical and horizontal control survey networks, photogrammetry surveys, survey maps, 3D scanning models, plats and legal descriptions as well as processing and creating deliverables with state of the art surveying equipment such as Trimble GPS, total stations, digital levels, robotic equipment, 3‑D scanning and S.L.A.M. equipment, and UAS LiDAR and Photogrammetry systems.
In addition, the Project Surveyor will be available for CAD support for all Garver Survey projects. This position will work alongside experienced design engineers, professional land surveyors, technicians, and project managers, in a high‑performing and professional work environment. Our Construction and Survey Services Team offers a fast‑paced, highly collaborative work environment with the opportunity to gain direct hands‑on experience.
- Regularly stand and/or walk while holding tools or objects in the field
- Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
- 2+ years of survey experience and/or an AS or BS degree focused on Survey Sciences
- Knowledge of Survey principles and practices
- Willingness to work alone or with an experienced surveyor
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- PLS licensure
- Experience with various DOT standards
- Civil 3D and/or Open Roads experience
- Transportation/Roadway engineering plan production experience
- Experience working with Engineering staff and maintaining plan production standards
- Proficiency with Trimble equipment and software
- Experience with UAS surveys and workflows
- Experience extracting Lidar data
- Open to more experienced candidates
