Plumbing Designer

As part of the Buildings Group for Garver, this role is responsible for developing plumbing designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects. Responsibilities include planning, design, and commissioning of building domestic water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and roof/storm drain systems. The role also coordinates with other support disciplines and regional offices, assists engineers in plumbing system design, and follows quality assurance and control plans.

• Develop plumbing designs for building projects.
• Plan, design, and commission building domestic water, sanitary sewer, and roof/storm drain systems.
• Coordinate with support disciplines and regional offices.
• Assist engineers in plumbing system design of building projects.
• Follow quality assurance and quality control plans.

• Minimum of 5 years of building plumbing system design and construction experience.
• Knowledge of building plumbing system principles.
• Proven experience with plumbing system designs, including detailed plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Managing project budget and schedule compliance.
• Plumbing design of building projects throughout the project lifecycle from conceptual to construction phase.
• Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings.
• Using software based calculation tools for design calculations.
• Managing multiple assignments concurrently.
• Responsible for time management and product quality.
• Continuing education and learning based on project needs and overall team needs.

• Medical gas system design experience.
• Petroleum, oil, and lubricating (POL) design experience.
• Food service plumbing systems design experience.
• Fire sprinkler system design experience.
• Experience with AIA Master Spec.
