Overview
Heineken Beverages has an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join our Engineering Department. This position will be based at Springs
.
- To maintain all equipment to optimize availability of equipment and assist with the coordination of line activities to meet the production plan.
- Increase machine availability.
- Perform preventive maintenance as per prescribed OEM and internal CMMS schedules.
- Perform changeovers of equipment.
- Optimize control systems regarding processes and production lines.
- Provide technical and specialist support.
- Determine causes of failures (fault finding).
- Ensure machine spares inventory is up to date and stock levels are optimal.
- Budget control of machine maintenance activities.
- Lead, train and coach other team members to develop their capabilities on specified equipment operations.
- Ability to interpret Mechanical & Electrical Engineering drawings.
- Be familiar with machinery safety and good GMP practice.
- Ensure safety of self, product, workplace and colleagues while controlling the environmental impact of activities.
- Maintain food safety awareness to ensure strict compliance in the workplace.
- SAP engineering maintenance capabilities – e.g., work orders/work arising, spares tracking, etc.
- N6 equivalent with Trade Certificate - Millwright preferably.
- Experience in a high-speed, high-tech bottling operation is advantageous.
- Completed apprenticeship with a recognized institution (i.e., registered as an apprentice).
- More than 5 years of relevant practical experience.
- Ability to work under pressure with good attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving ability and knowledge of various problem-solving methods.
- Self-motivated, innovative and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates good leadership behaviour towards colleagues, supervisors and company values.
- Willingness and ability to work shifts and overtime when required.
