POSITION SUMMARY
Interview loan and Visa applicants and evaluate loan applications. Approve or deny loans and credit cards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Interview walk-ins, phone, and online loan or visa applicants. Assist members with loan application and ensure completeness of information. Explain loan programs to members, evaluating their needs and recommending loan options. Input all required information in computer on applicant and co-applicant.
Pull credit report, verify debts, estimate monthly payments for any outstanding debts not listed and add them to debts in financial profile. If cosigner required, input all required information in computer and follow same procedure as on applicant. Approve or deny loan or visa applications and complete Adverse Action forms for denials. Explain reasons for denial and explore options for members when loans are denied.
Use credit bureau report to preapprove Visa credit cards or other loan accounts and payoff other financial institutions. Respond to phone inquiries or problems regarding loans, automobile values, payments, etc. Assist members with information as to the status of pending loans. Implement new loan products and services in accordance with management direction. Docu Sign/mail required Loan Liner and Visa applications and loan documentation.
Follow up with proper titling documentation as lienholder forms, UCC forms, Fed Ex given to Member Services, wires, etc. Maintain monthly loan officer reports for loan and credit cards. Cross-sell credit union products.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of lending and loan collection concepts and practices. Knowledge of loan policies and procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills and PC skills.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEExperience in general business working environment.
