Job Title:

Loan Officer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-focused Loan Officer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while originating, underwriting, and managing a variety of loan products. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in lending practices, credit analysis, and regulatory compliance, while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify lending needs and provide financial solutions
  • Originate, evaluate, and process loan applications, including consumer, mortgage, and/or commercial loans
  • Analyze financial information, credit reports, collateral, and risk factors to make sound lending recommendations
  • Structure loan terms and prepare loan presentations for approval
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies, lending regulations, and documentation requirements
  • Actively participate in business development and community involvement to grow loan and deposit relationships
  • Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the loan process from application to closing
  • Monitor and manage existing loan portfolio relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling bank products and services
  • Work collaboratively with branch and lending teams to support bank growth and customer retention
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of lending experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of loan underwriting, credit analysis, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to develop business relationships and generate loan growth
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and make sound lending decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in banking systems and Microsoft Office applications
