Summary - Flexible Contractor/Freelance Opportunity 1099

The Medical Credentialing Specialist will conduct essential onsite surveys and audits for medical clinics, ensuring compliance with the standards set by our clients. This role presents a flexible opportunity for professionals looking to leverage their expertise in a dynamic environment.

ULG will equip each credentialing specialist with a checklist tailored to essential compliance requirements.

  • Must have access to a tablet or laptop
  • Must have access to Acrobat Reader and MS Excel/spreadsheets
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visits to local clinics to verify compliance with established guidelines for licensed practitioners.
  • Assess facility accessibility, appearance, and setup for compliance.
  • Thoroughly complete the provided survey checklist.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues with the credentialing processes to the manager promptly.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Review policies on medical record-keeping, patient scheduling processes, and other relevant practices as needed.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.
Education, Experience + Skills
  • Associates Degree preferred or relevant professional experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of credentialing and/or auditing experience in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to effectively interact with community, operational, and clinical personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong research capabilities.
  • Organized decision-maker who can work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and database programs).
