The Medical Credentialing Specialist will conduct essential onsite surveys and audits for medical clinics, ensuring compliance with the standards set by our clients. This role presents a flexible opportunity for professionals looking to leverage their expertise in a dynamic environment.
ULG will equip each credentialing specialist with a checklist tailored to essential compliance requirements.
- Must have access to a tablet or laptop
- Must have access to Acrobat Reader and MS Excel/spreadsheets
- Conduct visits to local clinics to verify compliance with established guidelines for licensed practitioners.
- Assess facility accessibility, appearance, and setup for compliance.
- Thoroughly complete the provided survey checklist.
- Communicate any concerns or issues with the credentialing processes to the manager promptly.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Review policies on medical record-keeping, patient scheduling processes, and other relevant practices as needed.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.
- Associates Degree preferred or relevant professional experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of credentialing and/or auditing experience in a regulated environment.
- Ability to effectively interact with community, operational, and clinical personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong research capabilities.
- Organized decision-maker who can work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and database programs).
