ICE | WISL NICU Milk Lab Staff

The Milk Lab Technician is responsible for safe preparation of infant feedings in accordance with current Human Milk Banking of North America (HMBANA) Guidelines and department policies. The technician is responsible for maintaining the aseptic environment of the Milk Lab. The technician is responsible for collection, storage, and inventory of breast milk. The Milk Lab Technician prepares feedings of breast milk and formula daily according to orders, recipes, and department policies.

The technician is responsible for cleaning and stocking the Milk Lab. This position reports to the Milk Lab Manager. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Minimum:

• High School Diploma
• 1 year healthcare or food service related experience

Preferred:

• Human Milk Technician Certification
