The HR Project Strategist serves as a dedicated operational partner to the HR Director, focusing on the execution, tracking, and continuous improvement of strategic human resources initiatives. This role drives proactive, structured internal projects from concept through final roll-out. The ideal candidate blends deep programmatic HR knowledge with formal project management methods to deliver milestones on time and align operations with leadership strategies.

The Strategist joins steering strategy discussions, builds the execution framework for the Director's high-level goals, handles project bottlenecks independently, and serves as an administrative lead when collaborating across departments on central projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support the HR Director in carrying out human resource initiatives that align with bank goals and departmental priorities.
  • Draft updates and recommendations for HR processes, such as, but not limited to job descriptions, and benefits—for review and approval by the HR Director.
  • Review and administer tools within the HRIS system that support efficient departmental operations, consistent with established processes and direction from the HR Director.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze data for market and industry analysis to support talent acquisition, retention, and other HR initiatives.
  • Track workforce trends, turnover rates, and skills gaps and provide analysis and recommendations to the HR Director to support workforce planning and future needs.
  • Schedule exit interviews, compile separation data, analyze trends, and report findings and recommendations to the HR Director.
  • Provide administrative and project support for talent management programs, including performance cycles and talent reviews.
  • Assist with logistics and project coordination for initiatives designed to attract, develop, and retain talent.
  • Handle the day-to-day data entry and maintenance of the employee performance evaluation system.
  • Maintain data integrity within the HRIS by inputting information, troubleshooting routine issues, and running reports; elevate system issues or concerns requiring additional expertise or decision-making to the HR Director or appropriate resource.
  • Draft and distribute internal communications, as directed or approved by the HR Director, to keep employees informed and aligned with company goals.
  • Organize logistics for events and initiatives aimed at supporting employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Work with the HR team to monitor project metrics, timelines, deliverables, and completion of assigned activities, and communicate status, issues, and potential delays to the HR Director.
  • Follow direction from the HR Director to ensure assigned projects and daily activities align with departmental goals, priorities, and established HR practices.
  • Provide HR notes, project support, and subject matter assistance on assigned internal bank committees and project teams as necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all bank and employee information.
  • Serve as a backup for HR Administration.
  • Works with Bank and customer confidential information while performing the essential duties enumerated above.
