Human Resource Manager

We are seeking a passionate and people-centered Human Resource Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in creating a positive employee experience and supporting the people and systems that make our mission possible. You will help lead recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, compliance, employee engagement, HR systems, and employee relations while serving as a trusted resource for both staff and leadership.

This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who can balance compassion with accountability and relationships with strong systems and processes.

Responsibilities could include:

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting: Lead and coordinate the recruiting and hiring process for employees and interns. Partner with CFAC leaders and hiring managers to attract, interview, select, and hire qualified candidates who align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.

Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate an organized and welcoming onboarding experience for new employees and interns. Partner with hiring managers to ensure required onboarding activities, documentation, training, and systems access are completed. Facilitate the offboarding process and ensure appropriate documentation and organizational requirements are completed.

Benefits Administration: Support the annual benefits enrollment process, including communication, employee support, and coordination with benefits providers. Assist with reviewing current benefit offerings and identifying opportunities to strengthen the employee experience.

HR Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records for employees, volunteers, and interns. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements, as well as CFAC policies and required documentation. Monitor completion of background checks, required training, driving requirements, and other employment-related requirements.

HR Systems & Process Management: Serve as the primary administrator for the CFAC Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Maintain data integrity, generate reports, troubleshoot system issues, and support system enhancements. Regularly review HR processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the employee experience.

Payroll: Process payroll in partnership with the Director of People Operations and Director of Finance & Administration. Ensure timely and accurate employee compensation, deductions, and benefit elections. Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and work collaboratively to resolve errors and improve payroll processes.

Staff Engagement & Experience: Support organizational culture and employee engagement initiatives. Coordinate employee milestones, recognition programs, and engagement activities. Execute employee survey strategies, analyze results, and provide meaningful reports and recommendations to leadership.

Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for employees with workplace questions or concerns. Receive and appropriately respond to employee concerns while supporting the Director of People Operations with employee relations matters. Help facilitate healthy communication between employees, leaders, and the organization.

Multidisciplinary & Leadership Collaboration: Partner with leaders across the organization to support a healthy workplace culture, consistent HR practices, effective communication, and strong employee experiences. Provide timely, practical HR guidance while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professionalism.
