Compensation:$62,000-$75,000 base salary
Bonus:Approximately 7%
-10% target annual bonus

Position SummaryA well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to serve as a hands-on HR resource for its Arkansas City, KS facility.
This is a broad generalist opportunity supporting employees and leaders across employee relations, benefits and leave administration, retention, HR compliance, onboarding, timekeeping, and day-to-day HR operations. You'll work directly with the Senior HR Manager while becoming a visible and trusted HR resource for the site's hourly workforce and operations leadership.
The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of hands-on HR experience and is comfortable independently managing employee issues, answering HR questions, and balancing multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do- Serve as a visible, accessible HR resource for employees, supervisors, and operations leadership
- Support employee relations matters, coaching, counseling, HR inquiries, and employee documentation
- Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day stay interviews and help drive employee retention and engagement initiatives
- Support FMLA, short-term disability, benefits, insurance, and other leave-related processes
- Ensure day-to-day HR practices comply with applicable employment laws and company policies
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, I-9, E-Verify, employee separations, and general HR administration
- Review employee time and payroll information for accuracy prior to payroll processing
- Maintain accurate employee records and confidential HR documentation while utilizing the company's HRIS platform
- Approximately 3-5+ years of hands-on Human Resources experience
- Working knowledge of fundamental employment laws and HR practices
- Employee relations experience working directly with employees and supervisors
- Experience independently handling day-to-day HR responsibilities and employee questions
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust across all levels of an organization
- HR experience within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or another hourly workforce environment
- Experience with FMLA, benefits administration, short-term disability, and leave management
- Experience conducting employee retention initiatives or 30-, 60-, and 90-day stay interviews
- Onboarding, orientation, payroll verification, or timekeeping experience
- Experience with UKG or another HRIS platform
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- Previous DOT compliance exposure is helpful but not required
- Broad HR Generalist role with exposure across the full employee lifecycle
- Direct partnership with an experienced Senior HR Manager
