Customer Advocate I

• Answer high-volume calls from members, providers, agents, and billing services
• Provide timely, accurate, and courteous responses to inquiries
• Build working relationships with contacts and resolve issues
• Consult prospects on individual product and coverage options
• Assist customers with completing coverage applications
• Promote all products sold by the enterprise
• Establish premium payment arrangements
• Accept and process premium payments
• Provide enrollment, membership, benefits, and claims information for group and individual products
• Stay informed of changes in benefits, regulations, and guidelines
• Support retail sales representatives
• Comply with retail dress and appearance standards and work retail hours
• Perform other duties as requested

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three years’ experience in customer service or sales administration, preferably in insurance, a health insurance agency, or a provider’s office
• Arkansas Health and Life Insurance License preferred; if not previously held, must pass both health and life exams within three months after coursework is assigned
• Exchange producer license preferred
• CMS certification for senior products preferred
• Arkansas Insurance License Life & Health certification
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Customer service, problem-solving, oral and written communication, interpersonal communication, professional judgment, and organization skills
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of records and information
• Ability to adhere to segregation-of-duties guidelines

Demonstrates expertise in customer service and sales administration within the insurance sector, with a strong focus on effective communication, problem-solving, and maintaining confidentiality. Proficient in processing premium payments and providing accurate information on products and benefits.
