Position Summary
The Retail Manager position for our Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB program is a unique role located in our retail stores. As a salaried member of the leadership team, your primary responsibility is to oversee and drive the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB credit program and the overall customer experience culture throughout the store. You will also support the entire team during Manager on Duty shifts.

- Act as the primary CLUB liaison, ensuring the retail leadership team and all outfitters understand current promotions and programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute on-site and off-site events that reflect the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB brand standards.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with the General Manager, fellow managers, and outfitters to gain credibility and influence.
- Motivate and inspire outfitters by providing tools and training for confidence and success with referrals.
- Lead by example, serve as a role model and coach for peers and outfitters.
- Facilitate CLUB 101 training with all new outfitters during onboarding, creating a fun and engaging learning environment.
- Support outfitter recognition by implementing the Members Only program and building store-level CLUB recognition and engagement initiatives; regularly recognize contributions and successes related to referrals.
- Develop a strategy for recruiting and retaining great talent, focusing on hiring the right CLUB outfitters and building strong teams.
- Promote a positive, outfitter-centric culture focused on developing self and others; provide timely, honest feedback, coaching, and guidance for underperforming outfitters to create individualized development plans.
- Design and execute strategies to meet key CLUB metrics; review and analyze daily reporting for performance metrics; partner with the General Manager to develop corrective action plans for missed metrics.
- Execute all Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB operational and compliance programs; coordinate and improve execution of all department functions to drive performance and compliance.
- Lead the CLUB instant issuance process, including training others on inventory management procedures.

- Minimum degree:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. - Years of experience: 2 to 4+ years in sales, management, or leadership.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret a variety of financial, legal, and technical information.
- Read and analyze reports; write reports and business correspondence.
- Present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, associates, customers, and the public.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
- Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.
