Job Title:
Mechanic Mechatronic III
The Mechanic Mechatronics (Floor Assembler) assembles equipment built based on a specification, work card, drawing and instruction. The Mechanic Mechatronics II prepares the work by collecting the parts together and determining the assembly sequence. The Mechanic Mechatronics is primarily expected to perform assembly work rapidly and accurately, working safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations. This position reports to the Production Manager.
EssentialFunctions (Job Duties and Responsibilities)
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions and procedures to assemble equipment.
- Determine the assembly sequence.
- Retrieve, assemble and attach component parts and sub‑assemblies to products based on specifications.
- Perform various hand assemblies, fitting and adjusting operations of a repetitive nature.
- Rework non‑conforming parts and products.
- Adjust equipment according to drawings and instructions.
- Assemble all drive‑line technologies and electrical wiring circuits according to a specification, drawing and instruction.
- Test equipment according to the work card and instructions using the test box.
- Complete check‑lists correctly.
- Assist with accurate inventory control.
- Lift, load, sort and move materials, supplies and finished products between storage and work areas safely.
- Keep legible and correct documentation of tasks.
- Carry out a variety of activities including reading order sheets, preparing work, assembling assemblies, fitting drive‑line and control technologies, testing equipment, and administering check‑lists/approval forms.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of metal properties, operational sequences and hand power tools.
- 0-3 years’ experience in the assembly process.
- Ability to use power hand tools as required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow and understand instructions and pre‑established guidelines.
- Teamwork orientation and the ability to work with others.
- Safety awareness and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints.
- Attention to detail and concentration.
- Strong willingness to learn and detect anomalies.
This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday. Requires shift work (1st and 2nd). Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
TravelThis position does not require travel.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe work environment is a warehouse with cold temperatures (around 40°F), noise levels reaching 90dB, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75pounds.
