In this role, you will operate and maintain equipment in the production of plastic trash bags and food storage wrap. TPOs are assigned to one of four departments based on business needs:
Conversion, Extrusion, Food, or Logistics. All new employees are hired for night shift (6P - 6A) and work a 2-2-3 schedule including holidays and weekends as required. Starting pay rate is $22.60/hour plus $1.25/hour night shift premium.
Essential functions include operating and maintaining equipment and processes according to specifications and standard operating procedures, keeping raw materials stocked, processing scrap materials, performing routine and unique mechanical and maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment and process failures, conducting equipment set-up changes, completing required paperwork accurately, entering quality and production data into computer systems, performing housekeeping and work area organization tasks, communicating safety, quality, and production information to peers and management each day, and training other TPOs.
The position of the Technical Process Operator is considered a safety sensitive position, meaning, a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or operating a motorized vehicle.
