Certified Nursing Assistant – Evenings

Compensation: $20.70 – $23.00 per hour

Department: Medical

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, including assistance with ADLs, vital sign measurement, and accurate documentation of patient data.
  • Maintain professional behavior and prioritize workflow to ensure completion of all assigned duties, while adhering to policies and procedures and promoting patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with other members of the health care team, participate in staff meetings and training sessions, and notify the licensed nurse of any patient concerns or issues.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of nursing procedures and proficiently use medical supplies and equipment, while ensuring proper storage and cleaning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse, such as assisting with patient care in different units and participating in the orientation of new staff members.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a training course for Nursing Assistants.

Experience

  • Work requires knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to handle a variety of simple tasks that are routine in nature, while keeping work flowing in an orderly manner.
  • Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position, if working with specific patients.
  • Ability to express thoughts logically, in English, in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to use computers and typical software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and various database systems.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current certification in the state of practice is required.

Monday-Friday, evenings 2:00‑10:30 p.m.
