Licensed Practical​/Vocational Nurse; LPN​/LVN

Overview

ERP International is seeking a Licensed Vocational / Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) for a full‑time position supporting Separation Health and Physical Examination (SHPE) at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas.

• Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
• Complete patient care based on patient conditions, using clinical judgment in selecting appropriate procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information.
• Observe, identify and respond to patient needs for medication, equipment‑assisted care and patient/family education.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies and procedures.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient conditions, seek assistance of RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
• Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized procedures, including preparing the patient, assisting in the examination, handling specialized instruments and monitoring the patient during and after the procedure.
• Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies, procedures, skills and standards of practice.
• Integrate healthy work environment principles to improve patient care delivery and education.
• Provide clerical support such as submitting consults and ensuring documents and consent forms are completed for appointments.
• Provide Separation History and Physical Examination (SHPE) related health assessment and Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) service support in compliance with DoD and Air Force policy.
• Become proficient in Military Health System (MHS) Genesis, Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR) and other relevant computer systems.
• Provide Department of Defense Health Assessment (DRHA) and Mission Health Assessment (MHA) support in accordance with governing regulations (DAF 48-122, Deployment Health).
• Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education and continuous quality improvement and safety.

• Education:
  
  LPN certificate or diploma from an accredited community, junior college, university, or practical/vocational nursing program.
• Experience:
  
  One year of practical or vocational nursing experience after graduation.
• Licensure:
  Current, full, active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license from any U.S. state, district or territory.
• Life Support Certification:
  Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Security:
  Ability to pass a government background check and obtain required clearance.
