Job Overview
The Infusion Center Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning and organizing the scheduling process for Outpatient Infusion. The role collaborates with the Outpatient Infusion Supervisor and Director of Oncology Services to implement staff development programs, in‑service/continuing education, and performance improvement activities. The Coordinator also participates in the review of quality improvement data and works collaboratively with physicians and infusion co‑workers to promote proactive, effective shared governance relationships in the coordination of specialty services.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the hiring state and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- IV Certification within 1 year of hire
- Other unit‑specific certifications as required
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
