The Infusion Center Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning and organizing the scheduling process for outpatient infusion. The coordinator collaborates with the Outpatient Infusion Supervisor to implement staff development programs, including in-service/continuing education and performance improvement activities. Working independently with delegated authority, the coordinator also collaborates with the Director of Oncology Services in reviewing quality improvement data. The role also promotes a proactive, effective, interactive shared governance relationship with physicians and infusion co‑workers to coordinate specialty services.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Consideration given for comparable education, experience, and successful licensure.
- Must hold a current LPN license in the state where nursing duties are performed and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- IV certification within 1 year of hire
- Other unit‑specific certifications as required.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
