Role:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process, while maintaining professional accountability. They evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in line with organizational values.
Responsibilities:Care for cardiac patients on a medical/telemetry floor with a 6:1 patient ratio. Manage post-op cardiac surgery, intervention patients, and those with complex needs. Administer and titrate cardiac drips, monitor patients with chest tubes, and adjust medications as needed, ensuring appropriate interventions based on patient acuity.
- Provide collaborative, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Evaluate and adjust treatments for varied patient acuity levels.
- Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and patient rights.
- Possess necessary licensure, certifications, and physical capability to perform duties effectively.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license, and Basic Life Support certification. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or specialized courses may be required depending on unit needs. Must meet physical requirements including lifting, standing, and movement.
