Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, evaluating care effectiveness, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. This role upholds patient rights, maintains confidentiality, and aligns with organizational mission and standards.
Unit FocusThe Labor & Birth unit offers compassionate care to mothers and newborns, from low-risk to high-risk cases, supported by a highly collaborative, faith-based environment with advanced clinical expertise and a strong staffing ratio of 3-1:1.
Qualifications & Certifications- Graduate of a nursing program (associate's, diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the state or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP, PALS) based on unit needs
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed
Deliver high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care, evaluate and coordinate patient care, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and work collaboratively within a team to ensure optimal outcomes.
